Temperament Options in the Builder
Six temperaments make up the base layer: bubbly, calm, sharp-tongued, nurturing, dominant and submissive. They appear under personality in the character builder, and the one you choose sets the starting tone before voice or hobbies add anything.
| Temperament | Pick it if you want | Possible downside |
|---|---|---|
| Bubbly | Upbeat, chatty energy | Can feel loud at midnight |
| Calm | Slow, steady conversation | Fewer surprises |
| Sharp-tongued | Banter and pushback | Teasing is not for everyone |
| Nurturing | An attentive, caring partner | Little friction to play against |
| Dominant | Her taking the lead in a scene | You steer less |
| Submissive | You setting the direction | More work on your side |
Read the two right-hand columns as editorial suggestions. LuckyLove AI names the temperaments but does not promise how each one will sound, so the table is a starting point for your pick rather than a spec sheet. Sharp-tongued is the most interesting choice for most people, because a partner who argues back gives a conversation somewhere to go.
Seven Traits on the AI Girlfriend Page
Warm, playful, affectionate, witty, confident, calm and curious: those seven traits appear on LuckyLove AI's AI girlfriend page, next to name, appearance and type of connection. Only calm overlaps with the builder's temperament list. The rest work as seasoning on top of the base mood.
Contrast tends to read better than agreement. A nurturing AI girlfriend who is also witty has two registers to switch between, while warm plus affectionate plus nurturing mostly repeats one idea three times. A few pairings worth trying:
- Calm with curious, for long questions-and-answers evenings
- Sharp-tongued with affectionate, so the teasing lands softly
- Bubbly with confident, for a partner who starts topics herself
Voice Selection and Its Price Gap
Voice is chosen in the builder, on the same path as personality, and the homepage advertises voice messages. The catch is on the money side. LuckyLove AI's billing page lists coin prices for messages, photos, clips, gifts and character creation, yet it shows no separate line for voice. You cannot budget for voice from the published price list alone.
Competitors are clearer about charging for it. Replika puts voice messages and calls behind Pro, Nomi keeps voice paid-only, and Kindroid's one-time free preview includes 5,000 audio credits before everything turns read-only.
Hobbies and Connection Type
Hobbies hand her topics that are not about you, which is what keeps a long chat from turning into an interview.
Pick one interest you share, so there is common ground, and one you know nothing about, so she has something to explain. A character set up to like hiking and poetry has material of her own to bring up, and that is where an AI companion starts to feel like more than a reply machine.

Connection type does a different job. It tells the character what kind of relationship she is in, and a playful flirt and a steady partner are different briefs even when their traits match. Settle it before the traits, not after, since it frames everything else you pick.
Price of Each Custom Character
Twenty-five coins buy one finished character. If the build fails, the coins return automatically, and creation needs no Premium at all. The arithmetic for a new account is less friendly. Registration gives 15 coins, so a custom build waits for a daily bonus claim or a coin pack of 100, 200 or 500 coins, with USD prices shown only at checkout and varying by region.
Candy.ai frames the same feature as a free-tier perk: its free user limits allow one custom character, but only up to five messages in total across every character. A free character you can barely talk to is a strange bargain.
Several Personalities Side by Side
Keeping more than one companion is allowed, and each one holds her own personality and chat history. Coins come from one shared balance, so a second character is simply another 25 coins. That makes it cheap to build the calm partner and the sharp-tongued one and see which you return to after a week.
Slot limits elsewhere are tighter or paid. Kindroid's free preview stops at 2 Kindroids and subscribers get 10, while Nomi allows up to 10 active Nomis on paid plans.
Personality Drift Under the Terms
No contract backs consistency. Section 20.4 of LuckyLove AI's Terms says there is no guarantee an AI Character keeps a consistent personality, memory or behavior, which sits awkwardly next to marketing that promises she remembers you. When a reply slips out of character, a one-line reminder of who she is usually costs a single coin. When the whole character has drifted, a fresh build at 25 coins is the cleaner fix.
AI Girlfriend FAQ
Do I need Premium to design an AI girlfriend's personality?
No. Character creation runs on coins alone, and so do messages and virtual gifts. Premium only becomes necessary for photos and for animating a photo into a clip, and each of those still costs coins.
Can I make my AI girlfriend dominant or submissive?
Yes, both are standard temperaments in the builder. Chats stay inside LuckyLove AI's content rules: adults 18+ only, every character fictional and over 18, and non-consent content prohibited.
Is there a free way to try a custom personality?
Partly. Ready-made characters cost nothing to start with and there are 100+ of them, so you can learn which temperament suits you before spending 25 coins on a build.
What happens to her data if I delete my account?
Thirty days is the retention window for chats, AI memory and generated media after account deletion, per the Privacy Policy. Moderation, payment and support records stay for 180 days.
Are my character chats used to train AI models?
No. The Privacy Policy states that private content, including chats, prompts, memories and voice data, is not used to train or fine-tune general-purpose or third-party AI models.
